When selecting "Use cached exchange mode" can the outlook.ost file grow to exced 2 Gig or will a new file automatically be generated before reaching that limit? Thank you.

Since Outlook 2003 now, by default, uses Unicode it supports up to 20GB. Also see: The .pst file has a different format and folder size limit in Outlook 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830336/en-us

Now OST users complexity convert outlook OST file data into new running PST file format using http://tinyurl.com/hjk6lu4 Software has high efficiency through which user can easily convert and recover data from OST file and then move OST to PST, EML, MSG and HTML formats. During OST to PST conversion process, its split recovered large PST file into 1 GB to 5 GB PST file format.

Microsoft Outlook and Exchange have no built-in functions to rescue the oversized OST file. Microsoft only released several service packs so that when the OST file size approaches the 2GB limit, Outlook will show some error messages and stop accepting any new data. This mechanism, to a certain extent, can prevent the OST file from being oversized. But once the limit is reached, you can hardly do anything with the OST file, such as send/receive emails, make appointments, write notes, synchronization, etc. Read more :- http://www.osttopstconverter-tool.com/
