I have a user that saves her emails as .MSG files in a shared folder.  When she opens the file, after saving, the email shows up in the inbox of outlook.

I tried it on my computer and saved a message, opened and closed the message and the email did not show up in my outlook inbox.

I did replicate the problem when I would open the message and click save.  I am prompted with "do you want to make a copy in the default folder for the item" I click "yes" and it saves in outlook, I click "no" and it does not.

for some reason a copy of the message is automatically being saved in the users inbox either when she opens the message or closes it.

Its a strange issue, but i have to address the users problem.

Please help,
Jeff

I found out that it was an custom application or outlook add in that was build for our company that caused the problem.  I looked on the vendor's site and found this issue.
