I'm trying to setup outlook anywhere but I can not get outlook to connect.

I used this to configure outlook.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP101024441033.aspx?pid=CH101395531033

I also setup Exch 07 to allow outlook anywhere.

When I open outlook I get "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"

Any help would be appreciated

I remember having this problem... are you having this problem for just 1 user or multiple users?

My setup is similiar... only difference is that I do Basic Authentication.

I remember I fixed it.... after trying 3 times... I was in the control panel... I removed all profiles and started over... when it got to the screen asking for the name... I think I gave it 20 seconds then continued... and finised the connection setup... although it DID NOT find the server.  However, I decided to just open outlook anyways... and miraculously it resolved my name and I was able to log in... and let the client cache down.

Try going through it and opening outlook to see what it does?

Let me know.

Why did you use manual instructions to configure Outlook? Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007 should do it all for you using AutoDiscover. You need to look at what information AutoDiscover is giving to Outlook to confirm it is correct. Even after manually entering the information - Outlook will still be "corrected" by autodiscover.

Simon.
