I've got a real funny one :) I'm trying to add a exchaneg account to a users outlook to another compay out with my domain using Outlook Anywhere. The problem I'm having is the system keeps defaulting to my local exchange server and not the remote one ! Even when adding the setting in manually

I have tested the account logged off my domain and it works.

Any hlpe welcome

I'm having the same issue, with one ecxeption.

In my case we have a mixture of Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 clients on our network, and I get the same problem with all of them..

As MUOS said earlier, logging in as a local user, then i can connect to the remote domain through Outlook Anywhere no problem..   When logged in as a domain user, i am always defaulting to the local exchange server

Any help sincerely appreciated.

Jim

Why not create a new profile...then fill in the user's external domain address and stuff in that profile.  Outlook would autodiscover the rest of the settings and likely prompt for that external domain's user credentials.

Autodiscover and outlook anywhere together are only good for Outlook 2007 and up.  2003 clients won't do squat with autodiscover.  You can however set up   outlook to use RPC over HTTPS options in the account properties.

That's what has me stumped.

First option was to create new profiles and have the users select which profile they wanted to used depending on if the wanted to work with the local domain or the remote domain.  Same behaviour every time.  I can't make any headway at all.  At the moment I have the users all accessing the remote domain vie OWA for now until I find a resolution to this.

As mentioned previously any assistance would be gratefully received.

We have a problem with a small business server 2008 to connect with outlook anywhere (RPC over HTTP). It has worked in the past.
