I am getting the following error in Outlook when connecting from home and using Outlook Anywhere (RPC) through ISA 2006 firewall. My mail works fine but i get this error still.  When i do a e-mail test autodiscover doesnt work.
My question is how do I get autodiscover to use my external hostname (mail.company.com) instead of (company.com - default)?

I am not much familiar with 2007 but when i searched out i got some good resources for this issue may this could help you

Make sure there is a DNS record for "autodiscover.yourdomain.com" pointing to your client access server. That resolves the issue and Outlook should download the OAB. Apparently this is by design and Exchange now looks in that subdomain of your domain to take advantage of the web distribution feature.

But this brings another issue.. What if it is not possible to create the DNS record, or you are hosting an SMTP address which you do not own and therefore cannot create the DNS record for the domain? Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this?

See this url;

I put the autodiscover into our dns servers as a cname autodiscover.exchange.domain that points to exchange-server.domain.com
still not working.  OAB need not to use SSL so the external url is http://exchange-server.domain.com/oab
outlook anywhere is working:  Here is how:
at the exchange server shell run this:

Set-OABVirtualDirectory -Identity "exchange-server name\OAB (Default Web Site)" -ExternalURL "http://external dns record of the exchange server.domain.com/OAB"

At the client computer XP home edition go to controll panel and go to mail and setup exchange the server is the internal name of the exchange server then hit more settings in there go to connection and enable outlook anywhere (outlook 2003)  Exchange over the internet hit exchange proxy settings and in there make sure that https:// the external dns name of the exchange server like this(name.domain.com), check the ssl and check on fast and on slow and click then ntlm authentication.  If you get a logon name then enter it like this:
domain (AD)/your users domain at the AD and password.  It worked for me
If you find anything about oab please let me know

I had a problem with OAB when i wanted to use the URL it seems that i only could use and internal URL not external and it seems it is synching now.
Another thing now i am working on is that global address book is not showing in public folder contacts.  do you have any idea how to do that please.
