Anyone have any way to run Outlook 2000 with Groupwise 5.5 installed on the same machine? Usually I get problems with the system if both are installed and active.

I am kind of stuck, and we need groupwise for communication with the home office, But I would be condemned to hell before I take this office in a groupwise direction.

So Outlook and groupwise, running totally separate email accounts, not interacting at all. Is there any way to make them work on the same machine?

Oh I need to add, the novell patch that allows Outlook as a Groupwise client, only works if you are using a mail server, and currently we are ONLY using POP3 and SMTP as an office, we are not on an actual mail server yet. I am pushing towards exchange "[Smile]"

Having worked with both, I'd say groupwise is without a doubt the superior product. It doesnt have any of the security or virus problems that the "politically correct" exchange does and runs forever without any problems.....
ive got a 100 user system thats been up for 6 months with no problems (4.11 & grpwise 5.5)
try that with exchange....

p.s. i'll see you in hell (if your smart)

I still work with both Exchange and Groupwise. Although it is more Exchange than Groupwise. I have 3500 users on Exchange and have been running for more than a year without any problems. I think both Groupwise and Exchange are very good programs. What really matters is how competent the administrator is that is responsible for each.
