I've recently migrated my exchange 2003 to 2007. The problem now that i didnt have before is that outlook 2007 asks me for my password (NTLM auth) even tho i've check the remember box reveral times. I know that my autodiscover adress isn't cert signed (adress mismatch) but that prompts me to accept the cert but does that have something to do with outlook prompting me for my password all the time too? Also i just noticed that when sync'ing, outlook stops at ~97% procent for a very long time and returns the following error: Task 'Microsoft Exchange' reported error (0x8004010F): 'The operation failed. An object cannot be found.' "Not downloading Offline address book files. A server (URL) could not be located."

yea. seems like im in the need for better certs. atm im running a self signed cert for the fqdn name. After some reading it seems like the recommended solution is to get a Unified Communications cert which certifies autodiscovery.domain.com, mail.domain.com etc... Is there a selfsigning service which allows you to sign multiple domains like UC?

I use a cert for a single domain, ie: mail.domain.com, then create a CNAME in my internal DNS pointing autodiscover to it. This will get rid of the certificate prompt error. You can also change the URL for autodiscover from the managment shell with the following: Set-clientaccessserver -autodiscoverinternaluri "https://whatever.here.com"
