Hi guys, we use Exchange 2003 server at work. I was just wondering, if a user was to set up their pop3 googlemail account using the settings outlined here:

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=75291

Would it be traceable through the Exchange server? Although it's POP3 would it still be delivered via the Exchange server?

Many thanks

Nick

Maybe.
I cannot give you a definitive answer because there isn't one.
When Outlook has two accounts in its list it is not always possible to predict the message flow.
If Outlook can resolve any recipient to an internal user then the email will go through Exchange. The rest of the time - who knows.
I don't recommend mixing accounts in Outlook unless the SMTP server is also Exchange.

Simon.

I think not.  This is just setting up Outlook as a client to gmail.  The emails are not routing through the Exchange server or the users mailbox.  Outlook is just going to connect to gmail and download the email to a pst file located on the workstation.
