Hi Guys,

I just installed exchange 2007. My problem is any email client such as outlook email can not connect to port 110 and 143 but it does connect via ssl ports. When I use pop3 110 it prompts for user name and password i enter correct information still says server reject you password. It does not happens when i use ssl.

Thanks

By default exchange 2007 is secure and forces the use of encryption. You need to change this using the commands for IMAP and POP to change them to basic authentication and no encryption (if this is what you want - insecure access).

use GIU if u have exchange 2007 SP1 installed to change it to plain text login and restart pop3 service.
if not SP1 use command shell
set-popsettings -logintype PlainTextLogin
