We just now have our first Exchange 2007 box up.

I was asked to forgo the install of any SSL certificate for the OWA etc.

My problem is when using a client such as thunderbird to send and receive through our new exchange server.

If I look in the EMC under pop3 and IMAP4, click pop3 and tab Authentication, it's set as the first choice.

In the EMS I have also done this command:

Set-PopSettings -LoginType PlainTextLogin

Now I am able to open my email client and logon to my new server and get my messages.

What I cannot do is SEND through my new server, without setting outgoing secure connection to:

TLS, if Available.

I then get a security certificate warning then if I say continue it will

I have ports 110, 25 and a few other common ones open on the firewall.

What am I missing as I have read and search so much that I just can't figure it out.

Thank you!
