Maybe someone can advise.

I installed Exchange 2010 in our new single domain which is running on Server 2008 R2. The Exchange and CAS servers are members servers (08 R2).

Everything seems to be working fine so far. I decided to run the Best Practices Analyzer to check Server Health and encountered the following message:

Active Directory domain 'DOMAIN' has an unrecognized Exchange signature. Current DomainPrep version: 12639.

After an exhaustive search all I can surmise from this message is that AD is missing an important attribute. I ran setup /prepareAD which completed successfully. I checked to make sure all security groups have been created and everything seems to be setup correctly.

Another issue I just discovered is when creating a new database. The database is created but won't mount unless I wait a few minutes and then manually mount. The error I'm getting is as follows:
Summary: 2 item(s). 1 succeeded, 1 failed.
Elapsed time: 00:00:03

New DB05
Completed

Warning:
An error ocurred trying to contact database "DB05" on server "EXCHANGE". This mailbox might not be immediately available for certain cmdlets and operations until the user is replicated on the system. If you need to run the cmdlet again and you want more information about the error, please add the -Verbose parameter. Error: 0x8004010F.

Exchange Management Shell command completed:
new-mailboxdatabase -Server 'EXCHANGE' -Name 'DB05' -EdbFilePath 'D:\DB05\DB05.edb' -LogFolderPath 'D:\DB05'

Elapsed Time: 00:00:00

Mount DB05
Failed

Error:
Couldn't mount the database that you specified. Specified database: DB05; Error code: An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The Microsoft Exchange Replication service may not be running on server EXCHANGE.mydomain.org. Specific RPC error message: Error 0x6d9 (There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper) from cli_MountDatabase.

An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The Microsoft Exchange Replication service may not be running on server EXCHANGE.avhsd.org. Specific RPC error message: Error 0x6d9 (There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper) from cli_MountDatabase

Error 0x6d9 (There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper) from cli_MountDatabase

Exchange Management Shell command attempted:
mount-database -Identity 'DB05'

Since everything (as far as I know) seems to be working, should I even worry about this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The warning from Exbpa is a bug, see this post for more information:

Have seen this earlier it might have to do with ad replication but it's nothing to worry about since you can manually mount it.
