Having completed a SBS 2008 migration to an existing 2008 domain, I've hit a major problem within user mailbox properties. This happens for every mailbox however, my storage groups are in place and my databases all mount without a problem.
Whichever User Mailbox I right-click on in Exchange Console, then select Properties for I receive the following error:-
------------------
"The properties on <mailbox> have invalid data. If you click OK, default vaules will be used instead and will be saved if you do not change them before hitting Apply or OK on the property page. If you click cancel, the object will be displayed read-only and corrupted values will be retained
The following values have invalid data: Database." ------------------
I've dug about a bit online but cannot find much guidance. Most pointers refer to Exchange 2010 and/or system attendant issues and checking homeMDB values.
I don't think this is the problem. Seems to me the "database" values for each mailbox are missing... move mailbox for example complains that Usermailbox has to have database value and fails.
So, it's as if the original database details are missing.
Is there a way to fix this?
I was hoping there'd be some sort of clever command I could run through the in Exchange Shell to add the database back to each user mailboxes record manually or something?
Hi, as far as I can see, there are no spaces in the Alias.
The problem is with the Database.
Just ran get-mailbox in in shell and receive the following in yellow for each mailbox:-
"WARNING:- Database is mandatory on UserMailbox" "WARNING:- Object <object name> has been corrupted and it is an inconsistent state. The following validation errors have occurred:" "WARNING:- Database is mandatory on UserMailbox"
