I moved my exchange 2007 server to a spare server so that i could install exchange 2010 on the orginal server and everything moved fine even the Public Folders. I replicated them to the spare server for a few days and then even turned the orginal server off for a few days and all was well until i went to remove the replication with this command

Get-PublicFolder -Server Den2k8Exch1 "\" -Recurse -ResultSize:Unlimited | Remove-PublicFolder -Server Den2k8Exch1 -Recurse -ErrorAction:SilentlyContinue

After i ran this command and everything in my public folder dissapeared from my spare server. I did however before i ran the command dismount the public folder database and copy the .edb file to my desktop. I have tried to replace it and it will mount but still shows nothing in public folders. I did download the 3rd party tool Enstella Exchange Recovery Tool and i can open up the .EDB file and all is there but i really dont want to pay the $299 for it if i dont have to. Is there a way i can recover this or did i mess it completely up?

Thanks for any help.

Try to use exchange server recovery corrupted/unreadable exchange folders, messages and rest data are damaged by power shortages or surges, physical damage and incorrect user's actions. Program finds out, analyzes and restore crashed exchange data. It uses step-by-step wizard, which allows you to control the recovery options and go back any time to make the necessary changes.

There are no free tools to recover mailbox/messages from the EDB.
You will have to pay anyway. You can try Lepide Exchange Manager, its your best bet to recover the public folders and restore everything back to Live Server.
