Hello,

I've got a lot of Public folders to migrate to 2003. I'm just basically adding the new 2003 servers as replication partners in the Exchange 5.5 administrator.

My question is, is there a way I can just choose a top level folder and tell it to add the replication partner for all sub folders as well?

Basically some of the folder trees are quite deep and it's a bit of a pain to have to go and add the server for each one.

Any help is appreciated.

Scott.

Add the replica using the Exchange 2003 ESM. That will allow you to propagate the settings down.

Another option would be to use pfmigrate - again that has to be run from the Exchange 2003 server - I think it will run against Exchange 5.5 servers, I can't remember, haven't done a 5.5 migration for some time.

Cheers Simon,

Just having a look in the ESM. It seems to allow me to add replicas but can't see a setting to propogate the replica down the folder tree.

Am I missing something?

Presuming that ESM is Exchange 2003 SP2, right lick on the Folder and choose All Tasks, Manage Settings, then select Modify List of Replicas and follow the wizard.
