Hi all,

Currently, my public folder is around 10GB. Is that too big for an Exchange 2000 std edition? What is the recommended size limit for it?

None as per any documentaion refered by MS. Also, its best to reduce the PF Size.
You could take a perfwiz tool to check if Exchange Server was getting majorly hit by people accessing PFs during peak & off-peak hours.

10GB PF size. Too big to handle.

Are you talking about individual folder or PF database size?

If its database size then its normal. If its one folder then very critical.

Please make it more clear..

Hello, after I migrated public folders from Ex2003 (size around 1GB) to Ex2007 I have 21GB public.edb file sized now. I cannot identify why this huge increase of the allocated space. I have tried offline defrag and I saved some space (but it is still 21GB). We are using PF for OAB too but whole OAB is 40MB sized. Any idea about this behaviour is welcome. Thank you.
