We're in the process of migrating from Groupwise to Exchange 2003 Server. The plan is to use the Quest Migration tool for the project. Just wanted to see if anyone out there has used this tool and their input on it. In addition, if you have any suggestion of precaution tips about it, please share with me.

Thanks
-YG

We are using Quest's product for our migration.  You have alot of control over the migration with thier software.  We are migrating 7500+ accounts containing roughly 1TB of mail, not to mention the archives.  You can monitor and control the migrations very easily.

 Thanks for your note.
What process have you taking to remove Groupwise client and install Outlook on users desktop?

The Quest tool is formerly the Wingra product, who also did a Notes migrator tool.  Good products.  In fact, we use Quest tools for a lot of migration projects.

Removing the GroupWise client is part of the migration script we are using with thier "NDS Migrator".  It is just a simple uninstall of GroupWise which removes the GroupWise settings from the mail profiles.  Once the workstation is migrated we are using SMS to install Outlook 2003.
Zenworks or SMS can do the uninstall of GroupWise

There is another GroupWise to Exchange migration tool that helps the users to migrate unlimited GroupWise user mailboxes to Exchange server at a time: http://groupwise-exchange.blogspot.com/

You can use Novell GroupWise to exchange migration software for exporting Novell GroupWise mailboxes to MS Outlook. It saves email folders of Novell GroupWise mailbox to PST file. This software extracts email folders from a Novell GroupWise mailbox and exports to PST file of MS Exchange Server. It also includes data filter options for selected Novell GroupWise mailbox data migration. http://bit.ly/1mJb4R9
Use Free Version.
