I am currently testing a configuration on a test domain for 2010 and 2007 co-existence.
Scenario is single site, NLB front end CAS and HT servers on 2007 (SP3 RU5) and 2010 (SP2). Although currently running with only one enabled at a time.
I have sorted out a new SAN cert. owa.domain.com, legacyowa.domain.com and autodiscover.domain.com
DNS and been reconfigured to point OWA to 2010 and legacy to 2007.
Autodiscover now points to 2010, and appears to work.
OWA works directly accessed for a 2010 user.
legacyowa works directly accessed for 2007 user.
The issue:
When connecting to OWA as a 2007 user I can login but then get the error:
"A server configuration change is temporarily preventing access to your account. Please close all web browser windows and try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk."

Looking at config I am using FBA on both sets of servers. URL appears to be correct.
Only other thing of note that I can think of is the 2010 servers are running on VMWare and the 2007 are physical.

So does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing the redirect issue.?

Yes I have, a few times, thanks.
Looking further at it one of my 2007 CAS boxes is not responding correctly. As such I am now suspecting it has not had its new legacy URL configured correctly. Because of this I am doing a recovery install of Exchange 2007 on it so I can try and reconfigure it again.
Hopefully this will sort the issue. Should know later today or maybe tomorrow.

Will post back to say if this is true.

The rebuild of the server and then reconfigure seems to have fixed the redirect issue once I had configured the new legacy url on the broken CAS.
