Could anyone please give any advice? System attendant cannot start. Two errors in Eventlog are displayed :

Event ID 1005(MSExchangeSA): RPC server is unavailable
Event ID 7001(Service Control Manager) : System Attendant failed to start because of the ollowing error: %%0

RPC and RPC locator ARE running. Network & internet connections are fully operational(DNS etc). Network shares can be accessed both directions. Objects in Active Directory are available. Exchange database is OK.

System : w2k sp2. Unpatched Exchange does this, as well as sp1 & sp2

Only thing that seems to help is to restore system state before exchange, delete all exchange-related directories, and install it again. But if I reboot, game is over again. This is making me quite nuts...

Formatting and reinstalling helps for a while, but at some point problem comes back...

I managed to figure it out by myself. Solution was very simple : disabling ISA server firewall client...
