Preparing to install EXCH2k7.

It gets to the readiness check page and sasy, "
The Active Directory Schema is not up-to-date and Ldifde.exe is not installed on this computer. You must install Ldifde.exe by running 'ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS' or restart setup on a domain controller.
Recommended Action:
The Active Directory schema will be upgraded if you continue. Verify that the organization is ready for Exchange 2007 by running the Exchange 2007 Readiness Check, which is part of the Exchange Best Practices Analyzer.

I go to that link and it says just to do this:
To install Ldifde.exe on the local computer
1.Click Start, Run, and in the Open field run 'ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS'

So I do that on my server, and it says "windows cannot find ServerManagerCmd.  Make sure you typed the name in corectly, and then try again."

Please confirm that you are running Windows 2008 as your operating system. Also make sure you are logged in as a user who is a member of the local admin group (domain admins by default are members of this group once a server is joined to the domain)

I figured it out.

I had to install the Remote Administration Tools from the control panel.

Control Panel - Pgrogram and Features - Turn Windows Features On/Off - Features - Add Features - Remote Administration Tools

Feel free to close thread/archive.
