My CEO lost a folder from his message store. We don't know when he did so and cannot recover it from the server, Exchange 2003. Fortunately(?) I make a daily backup of the Exchange server using the built-in Microsoft Backup and put a back up from about a month ago on the server. I have copied the old Exchange bkf file back to the machine and have opened it in Microsoft Backup. I click on restore and I want to restore the Mail Store to an Alternate location. From what I'm seeing is that is not possible as it wants to only restore it into the active database.

How do I get the folder back if I may overwrite other stuff?
