Hello everyone!

I hope you can help me with this, as i have run out of ideas.

I recently had a disaster recovery situation in a client without a system state backup. I only had an exchange backup.

The server was in an unbootable state with corrupted filesystem, so I had to reinstall SBS 2003. I reinstalled with the same server and domain names. added users with the same exact names and managed to setup a Recovery Storage group from the exchange backup. I can see all the old mailboxes but can't manage to merge them with the new ones. when i try to do so, i get an error stating that the login attempt to the exchange server failed and error events 9175, 9167 and 1041 in event viewer.

I also tried to export mailboxes to PST with exmerge, but this fails with errors like "Error! Cannot identify the user with the msExchMailboxGuid p\B8\A9\AAfdFK\8B\1F\DE\84\C4\C1\ED\8A."

It's very frustating to see all my mailboxes and still can't be able to tap them. please help!

Thank you!
