Hi, I'm looking for the setting in Exchange, or maybe in Outlook, that enables you to be able to recover deleted items. We have some users in our network who have the functionality, and they can go back several months, and some (including myself) who don't have the option at all. I can delete items (by emptying the Deleted Items folder), and immediately select Recover Deleted Items from the Tools drop down menu, and there is nothing there. Thanks.

As a follow up, I added the DumpsterAlwaysOn DWORD value in HKLM Software Microsoft...., that MS recommends on its website, and that did not fix it.

Are you pressing Shift+Delete when deleting a message?

Shift-delete or just delete makes no difference.
