Hey guys,

I am sorry if my query is a repeat one, I did search a bit but couldn't find anything relevant.

I need to know how do I reset to default permissions at the Organisation level on Exchane 2003 ? I have messed some permissions and I don;t remmember the changes I have done and I am aware that reinstalling Exchange or running /domainprep would reset the permissions, but just wanted to know if there's any alternative....

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Ragz

The article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996218.aspx) says reinstall or /domainprep won't reset the permissions  at the orginasation level on Exchange 2003....what do I do now ?

PS: The article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254030) says /domainprep will reset permissions only on Exchange Enterprise Server group...

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Ragz

How about installing Exchange in a dummy environment? You will then know what the default permissions are, so you can manually apply them in your production environment.

Hiya,

Thanks for the reply...well that would be my last option :)..but I still feel there would be some option (tool / reset some attribute in AD) which will reset the permissions at the Organisation level....
