hi, configuration of my Server NT 4.0, Ex Ser 5.5+SP3
I took online backup using Veritas from Remotely When I trying to restore my Exchange server 5.5 from tape, message i received "successfully restored" When i open my New Ex Server i got this error message
" A connection could not be made to the Microsoft Exchange Srver Computer "MSEXSer" you do not have the permisstions required to compelete the operation Microsoft Exchagne Directory ID No: DS_E-SUFFICIENT-ACCESS_RIGHTS "
If i choose a computer from Browse
I getting error message "The list of microsoft exchange server computer is not available because no microsoft exchange server computer could be located Microsoft exchange Administrator ID No : c10312c8
Please help me , thanks in advance
this is urget to me i has to restore my server

After you complete the restore you have to do a few more things to make it work.
Stop all the Exchange services except for the System Attendent. From the DOS prompt run ISINTEG -patch from the c:\exchsrvr\bin directory. After that start the Information Store and MTA Agent services. Start Exchange admin, go to Servers, click on your server and then go to File in the menu bar. Choose Properties, Advanced and click the Consistency Adjuster button.
That should get the server working. I hope that helped.

Ok Dear But in my server Only Directory and SA Services are running. other services are not running it is stopped. i could not able to start the services also i could not run the isinteg -patch
thank u dear please give me some idea about this

How about looking it up on Microsoft Technet Dear. Did you try that first Dear? Thats where I found how to do an Exchange restore Dear.

first of all restoring from backup exec. SOMETIMES work but not all the time. Anyways the only way you will get this to work is to run DSIS repair after the restore. I don't remember how to run this program but it installed with exchange server.

Hi Mykul, I could not able to run the patch. because its given error message as no rights also other services are not running execpt directory and system attendent. please help me mykul Tell me how to do this restoration of exchange 5.5
