Hi,

is there something in Exchange 2003 where I can do a reverse DNS lookup onto the IP address that connects and if it does not resolve to the domain the user claims to be rejects the email?

I read somewhere that this should be possible but can't find it nowhere in the settings.

Thanks,
- Swen

On the default virtual smtp server (or if you have created an instance of a smtp server specifically for your internet bridgehead)look at properties, delivery, advanced, and on that page there is a check mark for reverse dns lookups on inbound messages.
