Running Hard Recovery on Mailbox Store

I have to run Hard Recovery manually due to the backup software I use but I'm having difficulty understanding what eseutil /cc is trying to do.

It looks like it is trying to replay the logs to the original mail store location instead of the Recovery Storage Group Location where the restore puts the database files. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong ? Is there additinal parameter I have to specify.

Currently I get "Operation terminated with error -1003 (JET_errInvalidParameter, Invalid API parameter).

What can I do if I don't want to replay the logs ? The only option I seem to have that works is to run a repair on the database which takes a considerable length of time.

Hello Bru.

If you have created recovery storage group and restored the database then the database will be in inconsistent state.

You can go ahead and run eseutil /cc on the recovery storage group it won't paly the logs from the production server

Unfortunately eseutil /cc is coming back with an error. see first post.

What logs does eseutil /cc play if not the live ones ?
