Greetings all! I have just installed Windows 2k SBS w/ Exchange 2k on a server, the main roles of this box are Domain Controller, Exchange Server, IIS (OWA) and Terminal Server (SBS Makes you run everything on one box). My issue is with the Exchange server: First let me touch a few of the obvious things: The server is on an internal network behind a NAT router with a public IP address: Port 25 is forwarded to the internal IP address of the server and is set to "Extensible" Outgoing mail works fine. Incoming mail does not work from the outside world (Public Internet), but does work from internal mail (User to User on the internal network). If i try to telnet serversipaddress 25 from the internal network then i get the appropriate banner response. If i try to do the same telnet mydomain.com 25 from the internet the telnet screen just goes blank, and if i hit a key on the keyboard then the screen just returns to a command prompt. This is baffling..... This is a brand new installation, and i am new to SBS 2k, i have installed and configured SBS 2003 and 2003 enterprise edition with Exchange 2003 and have never had a problem. If anyone has any ideas i am all ears. Please keep all responses in the group so the information will be helpful to others, but feel free to e-mail me at jschroeder at vazcomdotnet and i will give you the real domain names for evaluation purposes. Thank you in advance.

This sounds like a clear firewall issue. What does this option do? What firewall are you using? Extensible
