I read Tom Shinder's excellent articles on securely publishing IMAP for external clients - http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/imap4publishingpart1.html. Tom, if you're reading this, I am still not sure why one needs a separate box for Exchange Server and the DC. What sort of security risks would it pose to put everything on one box, as Small Business Server envisages (and as its licensing requires)? ie. both public and private SMTP servers, Exchange Server, ISA Server, and the DC all on the same box. Would it work at all doing it this way, and what are the primary security risk areas?

Thanks,
Greg
