Hello Everyone,

We have an old windows 2003 server (it is also the AD) with Exchange 2003 and 30 users or so that we used as a pilot. The users connect to the server via https://mail.contoso.com and it is using a self signed certificate that we manually added to each IE root certificate in order for the whole solution to work as the users are not located in the same place or under the same lan.

We are ready to grow the mail users population and got us an exchange 2010 that we built and are almost ready to move into production. We want the two servers to coexist. I have now created a csr request and is ready to be order to one commercial csr authority, the csr contains 3 domains...mailxxx.contoso.com (new server), autodiscovery.contoso.com and mail.contoso.com (old server). The question here is, at what point will the new certificate become active and what would happen with the 30 or so users using the old certificate?, would they lost the connection until I manually remove the old certificate and get to the new one?. What is the best moment or procedure to synchronize the old and new certificate?

I know that we need a UC Multi-Domain SSL Cert for the 2010 CAS ... Our aim is to accomplish OWA (and ActiveSync) co-existence while using ...
