Any suggestions for restoring a BKF file?
When attempting to restore a BKF file using MS Backup, the process runs its course and seemingly the exchnage data store is restored. I can watch the file grow as it is placed in the dir. However, MS Backup status at the end is "failed."
Here is the MS Backup log:
Restore Status Operation: Restore
Backup of "NORIASERVER1\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group", Restored to"NORIASERVER1\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group" Backup set #1 on media #1 Backup description: "Set created 8/1/2003 at 12:42 PM"
Restore started on 8/11/2003 at 2:35 PM. Unable to restore Exchange data to NORIASERVER1\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group, check the application event log for more information Restore completed on 8/11/2003 at 3:10 PM. Directories: 2 Files: 2 Bytes: 16,189,313,274 Time: 35 minutes and 10 seconds
And here is the event log:
Failed to find a database in the Recovery Storage Group with Original MDB = /DC=com/DC=noria/DC=corp/CN=Configuration/CN=Services/CN=Microsoft Exchange/CN=NoriaMail/CN=Administrative Groups/CN=First Administrative Group/CN=Servers/CN=NORIASERVER1/CN=InformationStore/CN=First Storage Group/CN=Public Folder Store (NORIASERVER1). Error is 0x8004010f.
So, I tried to mount it anyway and got this: --------------------------- Exchange System Manager --------------------------- An internal processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Exchange System Manager or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, or both.
ID no: c1041724
Exchange System Manager
--------------------------- OK ---------------------------
