Salvage old mailbox database

I had an exchange 2007 on my server 'svr1.domain.local' and the main hard disk failed, luckily my mail database was on a separate hard disk in the server.

I now have a new server 'svr2.domain.local' and I have installed a new instance of exchange 2007 on it.

Is there a way that I can restore either my old database to the new server or a specific mailbox to my new server?

Yes you can do this thanks to a feature called Database Portability.
