Here is my scenario.  I have an existing exchange 2003 organization that I wish to scrap and build a new 2007 organization under a different organization name.  The reason is the existing org used to be a 5.5 multi server org across 2 domains that was upgraded twice and now that the two domains (as it was known in the NT4 days) are now two AD forests and all we need to do between the two is sync the GALs.  Somehow during the upgrade process, the remote side objects didn't get cleaned up and still show on my org so that's the reason why I want to start from scratch.  Having said that, my plan is to export all the mailboxes to .pst files, remove the existing server using this procedure http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb288905(EXCHG.80).aspx, the create a new exchange 2007 org.  This being the scenario, I have 2 questions:

1 - What problem(s) can I expect re-importing those mailboxes into a different org name?  How can I get around it?

2 - Will I have any problems getting ILM 2007 Feature Pack 1 to work for GAL syncing when the remote exchange is still 2003?

Thanks in advance.

PST files have nothing to do with the Exchange org. That is why they are used. It is pretty much the raw data.

ILM FP1 added Exchange 2007 support, therefore older support should be fine.

Simon.
