We are needing to replace undersized Exchange 2010 hardware in the near term. We have new servers that are ready to be installed and I was wondering what the best way to do it with the least amount of risk and down time.

Our current exchange Organization consists of:
Exchange 2010 SP1 servers:
2 CAS server in a CAS Array that uses MSNLB
2 Hub Servers – with one hosting an internal open SMTP relay
The Hub servers connect to an external SMTP Gateway service hosted by Messagelabs and connect to the Firewall via a Cisco ASA that has IP ACL’s to allow SMTP outbound from our Hub servers IP addresses to the outside for inbound and outbound rules.
3 Mailbox servers setup in a DAG with 10 databases totaling 2.5 TB in data.
Cisco Unity voice mail services that are on an old revision that requires that we need to stay on 2010 SP1 until it is replaced this summer.

New Hardware Overview:
Total of 2 new Hub/CAS servers replacing the old 4 servers. New servers will combine the HUB/CAS role onto one server.
Total of 3 new Mailbox servers in production
I am just starting the planning process and this is going to be fast tracked for replacement.

Would it be possible to perform thse tasks to ease th transition?
Add our existing SAN Certificate to the new servers?
Can we extend our CASARRAY object to include the old and new servers during cutover?
Is it possible to add the new CAS servers into he existing MSNLB to be put behind out internal CAS Array IP that is bound to it – or will that impact the Hub role that is gign to now also be on those servers?
To migrate the DAG databases I was planning adding DAG replicas to the new servers and then removing the replicas from the old servers once replication is complete.

Can anyone think of any gotchas? Any brain storming here would be a help.
