I usually would move on this quickly but have some questions. here is the issue.
Company "A" purchased Company "B". Now want Company "B" to send email as Company "A". (Company "A" has (2) Exchange 2003 Front End servers, (2) Exchange Back End Servers, (5) Exchange 5.5 Servers, (2) Exchange 5.5 BridgeHead Servers. Company "B" has (1) Exchange 2003 Exchange server, (2) Exchange 5.5 Servers, (1) Exchange 5.5 Bridgehead.

Usually i would begin by creating a contact forwarding rule ( create a contact on "A" side, to forward email to "B"), Set Default reply address on "B" to "A" domain name. Then i have heard of the inter-org replicator, this allows the GAL to be merged between separate organizations. The the ADC for use of Free/busy.

Just a curious question. seeing what is involved listed above. does any one have a plan that they use to merge exchange during a merger?

The ultimate gold here is to fully integrate their organization into ours.
