I am trying to run setup /ps

I get this error:

Setup cannot contact the primary DNS server (xxx.xxx.xx.xx) using TCP port 53.Check that the IP address of the DNS server is correct and that the DNS server is reachable.

I have verified that the correct DNS server is configured and is reachable. From the same server that I am running the command, I can do an nslookup and it works and uses the DNS server in question.

What could be causing this error??

Thanks.

Is that DNS server up to spec in terms of OS and SP level? Is your AD site model and subnet configuration right?

OK, you can ignore this.
It appears that is it a problem with the customer's network.
Thanks.
