I would like to find out if it is possible to deploy an Exchange cluster accross 2 sites, one site hosting half the users and the other the rest. Basically the client does not want to have servers standing by at DR just in case of a failure someday. He would like to have 2 clusters running at both sites. Should a failure occur with the site, the second server in the cluster should take over, but should the whole site (Production) fail, the second site(DR) should take over the rest of the mailboxes from the failed site.

The solution should have inside the site resilliency and also have Datacentre resilliency in the even of the primary Datacentre failing completely.

Yes, and no. You're asking about active/active (half on one and half on the other). That's not recommended in 2003 and not allowed in 2007 (not even possible, never mind allowed)
If you want to do this in 2003 then you need 3rd party software (Veritas have a solution as do many others).
If you want to do something similar in 2007 then forget this half here and half there silliness, use CCR.

Thanx Mark fir the quick response. What would be suggested though to ensure a robust deployment. A/P at (Production) and a target at (DR) ?
