Hi guys, here's what I found out today; (I did a search in the forums and didn't find this tip already, so if it is there; sorry for the repeat). I hope this helps someone, please feel free to leave me feedback on if it worked for you or not.

Goal: You have a work Exchange server that you constantly sync to, but you want to sync your house PC which is NOT on the same domain, nor does it connect to the same exchange server period. You want to keep email seperate, but you want to combine your contacts and calendar together.

Target audience: People who use all their contacts & calendars all the time for personal and work purposes.

My setup:
1 Workstation - Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003 SP2, Activesync 4.2, on a personal home domain
1 Motorola Q - Firmware SP updated.
1 Exchange Server - HTTPS Exchange 2003 SP2 (different domain; work domain)

Use the resco registry program to edit the following entry:
1) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\EnableNonLocalCrossPollina­tion]
= (DWORD) 1


2) Restart the Motorola Q. (soft reset aka power on and power off) **Do NOT hook it back up with ActiveSync yet**

3) IN YOUR PHONE, go into activesync and into your options; manually check contacts and calendar items for "Windows PC" or whatever you've called it. Ensure that you have checkmarks for BOTH Exchange and Windows PC for those two items.

4) Restart the Motorola Q (soft reset aka power on and power off)

5) Hook the Q back up to your ActiveSync on the computer using your usb cable or docking station.

***********NOTE: When I retried syncing mine, it appeared working, then gave me an 80070057 error. I unchecked sync "Tasks" from the Exchange server and plugged the phone back into the computer and it worked. I don't know if this is can be replicated or if it was just something else. ****************
