Exchange still thinks it's Standard as I still get an event 1216 in event viewer about limited (75Gb) space.

I have this as a solution, can anyone confirm:

There are 2 keys in the registry that tell what version of  Exchange it is running:
a) HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Integration\<Guid>\SuiteID
b) HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall<Guid>

Upon re-install another key was created under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Microsoft
Integration

The original key(standard version) continues to override the re-install(enterprise version)
which is why Exchange continues to believe that it is standard edition. Once you
remove the original key and re-run re-install, the server will then run as a
enterprise product.

If you just remove the key and restart the server, it will still state that it is
a standard editionin system manager

Wow seems you have hit upon some sort of BUG, open a ticket with Microsoft PSS Guys - check it out, if its a BUG that could confirm your doubts. And ofcourse get a refund :)

Keep us posted.

For upgrading Exchange Edition from Std to Ent.  You should use Exchange 2003 Ent CD to reinstall (like recovery Exchange server procedures) and re-apply Exchange service packs.

Bug? I don't think so.

You made a registry change to limit the store - the fact that you are getting an alert on 75gb means you change the key as it is 18gb if it isn't present.
That registry change is also supported by Enterprise edition. If you don't want to see the alert then remove the registry change.

Simon.
