Will the StartDagServerMaintenance.ps1 script attempt to move the active databases to a server that has DatabaseCopyAutoActivationPolicy set to Blocked? Or will it ignore it?

I'm guessing you've probably answered this by now but it will ignore it.

we always set up two groups of servers (we have 12 mailbox servers) and we set the attribute to blocked on each one first.

So

set-mailboxserver serverName -databasecopyautoactivationpolicy blocked

So we have two data centres.

Each group has three servers from each Data centres

We run the above command on one group, so still spanning the two DC's.

Then we do the maintenance, remove the attribute and run the command on the second group.

Then we run the maintenance on that group.

Remove the attribute on the second group.

Then run the redistribute script.
