Hi,

I am trying to split a user mailbox into personal and business emails.  The requirement is to have a seperate information store on an external hard drive for personal emails and leaving other business messages as normal on the server.

Any ideas?

If you're asking for advice on the physical configuration, then I'd say you can accomplish this with a Personal Folder (PST).  Moving messages into a PST removes it from the server.  Microsoft does not support PST files on anything but a direct-attached drive (not a network drive).

If you're asking how to automatically sort the mail into personal and business, you'd have to spell out how you can tell the difference on a new message and translate that into a rule.
