Strange issue here with creating new distribution groups. When we create a new distribution group members that are in that group do not receive mail from external customers (outside of our domain). Internal mail to the groups work fine, and external users do not receive an ndr of any kind. Viewing the message tracking I can see the message came into the server but there is no error associated with the message as to why its not routing to the group.

We migrated from exchange 2003. It seems old distribution groups continue to work, but new groups do not. We are running a 2008 native domain. Any ideas?

Looks like i was able to figure this out guys. I had to go into message delivery restrictions of the mail mailflow settings of the group and disable the 'require that all senders require authenticated' check box!

Is there a way to change the default behaviour of this so that it is always unchecked by default?
