I have a very strange problem.. When the linkstate of the SMTP connector which connect my Org to the mailrelay /smarthost is down.. the users will recieve the following message when they try to send outbounded messages:

<bridgehead-001.company.de #5.7.1 smtp;501 5.7.1 This system is not configured to relay mail from <user@company.de> to <user@yahoo.com> for 10.180.33.13>

The mails are not queued, they will get imidiatly that NDR.... Any one an idea how to resolve that ??

Here is the clue - 10.180.33.13, your mail relay is not accepting the messages which appear to be routed from that address.
