Hi,

What directories do I need to exclude from my active scan on an Exchange 2010 server? This is a test machine and is also a DC. This is an all in one test enviorment.

Thank You,
Scott

When deploying the client make sure you don't install the SEP network stack - only install the real-time file scanner

I installed the scanner and the Proactive Threat Protection only.  Does the threat protection need to be removed?  I thought I read an artical that sait it was ok.

Thanks

I've worked with clients who use Forefront, they normally do not have any complaints.
Symantec is one product that i simply dislike for reasons that
a) It consumes loads of memory
b) They rarely test their product for Exchange (prima-facie) - there have been many instances for Symantec causing problems for Exchange.
c) Its support is pathetic...worse than any other product support.

Above are all my opinion, of course others may or may not disagree on it.

I agree about Symantec. I installed the Forefront for Exchange last night. Seems simple enough. Now I need the client server. I can't seem to find the correct software. What I downloaded is a a console type of application. I don't want to setup a console to push out software. I just want the application and will manually install it on the server.

Thanks,
Scott

No idea! I have gone round and round about on this with Microsoft and have no idea. I need the 64 bit client/server application. Neither CDW or Microsoft have a clue!

Final word... Forefront for client/server does not support Windows 2008 R2. These words from Mucrosoft Technical Support.

I unstalled Symantec Endpoint Security and Forefront for AntiVirus. They seem to be working.

When will the Configuring Exchange 2010 be on the shelves?

Thanks
