So, I've been reading a lot of posts on publishing OWA with TMG. Can some one confirm that in order for it to work correctly (best paractices way) my TGM needs to be part of the domain? Thanks.

not necessarily, but by being a member of the domain it can pre-authenticate before allowing the connection to your exchange server. This is so much better than a bog standard firewall connection which cannot pre-authenticate.

I was planning on having the Edge Transport Role on the same TMG server but given Edge should not be part of the Domain, is this going to cause a problem?
