Exchange 2003 - 2010 Transition

Prior to performing the procedure in our live environment we opted to do a dry run in a virtual environment and see how it went. We tried to match our existing environment as best we can. Everything went perfectly fine up until we installed the first mailbox server (we installed a CAS/HUB server first). As per every tutorial/walk-though we found on the web, a public folder database should have been automatically created during the installation of the first mailbox server. Unfortunately the public folder database was not created. We manually created one but we’re having all sorts of problems synchronizing the OAB/Free+Busy info to our new Exchange 2010 mailbox server. We have serious concerns that this will happen in our live environment. Is there something we missed?

Many thanks in advance for your time and help with this issue.

Blank! So strange. Some things are working flawlessly, others are really messed up. I think we're going to redo the entire lab and see if this is something we can recreate. If not then I think we'll do it all again just to be sure.

Thank goodness we opted to do this in a lab and not have to deal with these issues in our live environment.
