Basic configuration, that i will setup is following. Two sites: Site A, and Site B Two mailbox servers MBA and MBB. Two witness server HUBA and HUBB Site A with Active Users and Site B with Active users Two DAG clusters. DAGA and DAGB DAGA have Active DB in Site A and copy in Site B. With primary witness in Site A and Secondary witness in Site B DAGB have Active DB in Site B and copy in Site A with Primary witness in Site B and secondary witness in site A. Why these setup? Well if there is WAN failure, i would like to have Both DAG-s(A,B) active to server there share of users in there site location. I thing that is correct setup because DAGA has majority with primary witness on site A, and DAGB has majority in Site B. Replication is for the time when WAN is unavailable offline. IS THESE CORRECT Thinking? The second Question is with second witness in both sites. I don’t thing that witness should be cross site connected so DAG A in Site A has secondary witness in Site B, and via versa. Because when WAN fails, both sites will have majority and we will have split Brain. ? Would DAC help in these situation ? I will have some hardware available next month, but i would like to draw a concept.

When preconfiguring the alternative FSW skips the need to specify it when using Restore-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup during recovery after datacenter fail/switchover. So, in normal circumstances it won't be a voter. See part 3 of my DAC article, regarding DAC and Ex2010 SP1, here: http://eightwone.com/2010/09/01/changes-in-exchange-2010-sp1/
