Hello currently I have two web domains, www.ipic.cat and www.iris.cat and I access both emails via pop3. I enjoy using MS Outlook and would like to use MS exchange to avail of the extra functonality like web outlook, calander etc. Can I do this and have both emails ipc.cat and iris.cat via the exchange server? Thanks

Hi, Yes this can be done by adding the domain to the accepted domains and create and email address policy. But if you like to stay and use the pop3 you will need to get a 3rd party application which gets the mail for you. Else you need to change your MX-records to point to you Exchange server.

What is this 3rd party application? With it will I get all the functionality of Exchange? Are there any downsides with it? And would this be a good step before a full switch to Exchange? Thanks

Hi, I know GFI has a software package which also has a pop3 tool in it which can get mail from your external pop3 server. Downtime, is hard to say till you won't configure the tool users can get the mail from your isp's pop3 server. When your ready configuring the server you can activate the pop3 tool and start using Exchange. If it's not for a lot of users have a look at Windows 2003/2008 SBS Edition which contains Exchange with the pop3 tool in it.

I have been looking at SBS2008, do you know where I can get some tutorial on how to setup the pop3 for that so I can perform some testing? Thanks

I have just read the following: Chris@adatum.com and then deliver it to your Exchange Server mailbox for Chris@contoso.com. My question is, if this is the case, when you reply to the mail received withh the recepient of your mail see the sender mail address as Chris@adatum.com or Chris@contoso.com? Thanks

Hi, It will give the reply address which is set as the users primary address so if this is the contoso.com address then it will be the contoso.com address which is set as the reply address.
