When we try to send an email we get the following Undeliverable report:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: RE: Test Message[Scanned]
Sent: 13/11/2006 12:22

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Welsh Hybrid on 13/11/2006 12:22
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<Ourdomain.co.uk #5.5.0 smtp;550 usernamed@Ourdomain.co.uk>... Not permitted

I've searched to try and get an answer, but most of what comes back is confusing for a newbie like me. Can anyone help me to resolve this.

We are using SBS 2003 premium, with Exchange 2003.

Can you successfully send messages to anyone else at that same domain?
Have you tried to telnet directly from your Exchange server to that other domain?

Hi uemurad, thank you for your reply. The problem has - I hope - been resolved now. It was due to changes made by our ISP to the way the mail server was being used to prevent spam relaying. They have now amended this so that it now works.
