I am running Exchange 2000 SP3, with Computer Associates Secure Content Manager running as a front wnd to the Exchange Mail server (blocking SPAM, Viri, etc.) On occassions a user will get a "Undeliverable Message" as a response to an email that a user sent to a specific email address. I have ruled out that the address is wrong, since it has been verified by the target party. Is this a DNS issue? What causes this happen? I looked in the Exchange System Manager and I noticed that the domain (abc.com) of the email in quuestion is listed as "Remote Delivery"; however, there are no messages "waiting to be Routed" or "waiting for Directory Lookup" withing the Exchange System Manager SMTP Queue. What are the steps to take to troubleshoot an issue like this?
