Hi All,

OK trying to cleanly un-install a E2K7 server from a E2K3 co-existence site.
The E2K7 server has no mailboexes in SG's (deleted) all that is left is a PF database,
All the E2K3 PF's are replicated to another new E2K7 CCR cluster.

Whatever I try (un install from Control panel) E2K7 will not uninstall complaining about data in the PF database linked to now deleted MB databases.

There is no wanted data on this box. Is there a clean way I can get around this and un-install Exchange (maybe a  /force uninstall) or the like ?

Thinking about it another way what is the procedure if an Exchange server1 dies and you maybe restore to a SG on say another Exchange server2 and want to remove all trace of Exchange server1 from the Exchange Org ?

If your exchange server 1 died you could rebuild a second Exchange server using a recovery switch. Because most of the exchange info is stored in AD, it should be able to populate all the data and remove all old references to your previous server during your install.

TXB2,

Thanks, done that - works well. The question I meant was how to get a dead server out of the Exchange org... ADSIEdit I guess..
